CSR has supported the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism’s (NIAAA) peer-reviewed scientific journal Alcohol Research & Health and its quarterly bulletin Alcohol Alert, which address many of the same scientific disciplines and topics as NIDA Notes, from genetics and neuroscience to treatment, prevention, and health services research.

CSR has 10 years of experience providing analytic, writing and editing, graphics, layout and design, and production services to develop evaluation publications, summaries of presentations from scientific conferences, and Web-based research information for NIDA’s AIDS Research Program (ARP). This work included writing, editing, and copyediting for publications produced by clinical and experimental programs around the globe.

Key strengths include but are not limited to:

  • Project staff with both historical and current knowledge of NIDA and the broader environment of addiction research
  • Writers with the necessary understanding of all scientific disciplines, disorders, and issues involved in addiction research
  • Managing editors and creative staff with expertise in all aspects of newsletter production and the successful transition from print to electronic format
  • Marketing specialists with experience in outreach and promotion to addiction research stakeholders and in the growth of subscription lists
  • Web and IT staff with a strong understanding of NIDA’s online platform and innovative ways to use its capabilities for social media and Web 2.0 dissemination and engagement.

CSR graphic designers will work with our managing editor and science writers to develop a graphic—from concept to storyboarding to production—that best conveys the appropriate information. CSR can create multiple formats of graphics and multimedia presentations, each suited to a specific situation and application.

Tables, Charts, and Graphs.  We have more than a decade of experience creating tables, charts, and graphs that are eye-catching and clearly communicate data.  Our first step is always to identify the format that fits the data or information best.  In the category of charts, we may utilize these and other formats:

  • Column and bar (3D, cylinder, and cone)
  • Line (2D and 3D)
  • Pie (including 3D and exploded)
  • Doughnut (including exploded view)
